Business study tour to Ukraine: An opportunity for your Company?

Parking management_tramThe German Federal Ministry for Economics is supporting a study tour to Ukraine to explore business opportunities for German small and medium companies in the field of road construction, railway and underground engineering. Ukraine is passing through a series of political reforms to modernize the infrastruture sector. In this context, a new concession law is to be adopted, which is intended to facilitate the implementation of public-private partnerships and concession models in infrastructure projects. Furthermore a privatization and a new railway law are in the making which will allow for private railway companies to operate in the country.

These changes open new opportunities for German companies from the infrastructure sector to establish themselves in a reformed Ukrainian market: Investment requirements as well as imports on construction technology and equipment for roads and rails will increase. Furthermore, the medium-term adoption of EU standards will create a demand for planning and consulting services. Companies which take place in the journey program will gain further insights into these opportunities through numerous site visits and personal encounters where they will get market and industry information from first hand and deepen existing trade and cooperation relations.

The journey will take place from 12th to 16th of June 2017. Interested companies are invited to apply until March 10th. Further information can be accessed here (in German).
